While initially planning this website, I was originally going to host it using a device on my own network, and design the website using a local version of WordPress.
But after a significant amount of research and implementation progress, I decided to take the conventional path and use a standard webhosting service. This decision came from a combination of security risks, an option-limited internet router, and the unnecessary time that would need to be spent on future maintenance.
The domain name was purchased using namecheap.com, and it is hosted by them as well. They provide simple security for my website.
